An 18th-Century carved wooden sculpture of The Virgin and Child.
Italian origin.
Possibly limewood or a related species.
The Virgin swathed in classical robes, the Christ Child held in her arms, his right arm outstretched.
Provenance – Unknown.
Condition – Please refer to the images. There is surface wear commensurate with age. The Child’s right arm has been replaced. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
