Description
IBOP HYDRA SELF-WATERING HANGING BASKET
Looking for a self-watering hanging basket that’s easy to use? The Hydra is the world’s first Intelligent Buoyancy-Operated Planter, (iBOP) invented, designed, and manufactured in the UK. With a 3-pint (1.7-litre) reservoir, this product offers automatic watering on demand. It’s the perfect solution for watering your plants when you’re away, providing consistent moisture with a visible, easy-to-fill water level.
HOW IT WORKS
The inner container of the Hydra rests on the valve seal, overcoming the buoyancy force of the reservoir due to its weight.
When the Valve Is Closed:
- The weight of the inner container drops during to evaporation and plant demand. The container then floats, breaking the valve seal and allowing fluid from the reservoir to the inner container as the valve opens.
When the Valve is Open:
- The inner container increases in weight due to fluid intake, overcoming the buoyancy force of the reservoir and closing the valve seal, which stops the fluid flow.
