A mid-17thC German antique stoneware bellarmine jug or bartmannkrug, circa 1625-1675.
In typical “tiger glaze”.
The elongated neck is decorated with a typical bearded mask over a decorative medallion below, with possibly a rampant lion set with in.
Condition – as per the images. With traces of restoration to the neck rim and carry handle. This has been done well. The jug displays very well.
