Description
18th-Century English Antique Treen Dairy Bowl
An 18th-Century English antique treen turned wooden bowl.
Lovely colour. It displays very well.
With line-turned decoration to the outer surface.
This bowl has been well used, so much so, that the base has worn through and has been repaired historically with the application of an additional circular piece of timber to the underside of the base.
The bowl has gained an age related warp to the upper rim as it has seasoned over the years.
Provenance – Unknown.
Condition – As detailed above. Please refer to the images. The bowl has some traces of old worm. This is historic and inactive. It has also been treated too as a precautionary measure.
Size – Diameter 27.3 cm (10 3/4″)
