Airrex HSC2500 Mobile Air Conditioner and Server Room Cooler
Description
Airrex HSC2500 Mobile Air Conditioner and Server Room Cooler
The Airrex HSC2500 is probably the UK’s most popular industrial / semi industrial mobile air conditioning unit. It is certainly the most reliable from our own experience. We have been supplying the HSC2500 air conditioner to businesses across the UK for over six years now and it remains our number one commercial air conditioner year after year.
Tough and Versatile
The HSC2500 and its big brother the HSC3500 are the toughest and most versatile of our range of portable air conditioners and are commonly used for the temporary cooling of computer server rooms where temperature control is critical to maintaining server up time in some of the countries leading companies.
For Rooms both big and small
No matter if the room you are cooling is large or small, the HSC2500 has it covered. Technically the HSC2500 can acclimatise a whole room up to around 525 square feet. However, often it is used for what we call ‘spot cooling’ whereby the working temperature of specific equipment ( ie computers) in the room is more important than the room temperature itself. In this case you simply wheel the unit close to the equipment and direct the cold air ducts towards the equipment, and it will keep it cool all day long, regardless of how hot the room itself becomes throughout the day.
Don’t forget the warm air duct.
All portable air conditioners, even ones as advanced as this, require an ‘exhaust’ hose to vent away the warm air from the room they are cooling. Therefore there is an optional flexible ‘warm air duct’ that attaches to the top of the unit (not shown here) and can carry the warm exhaust air away to the outside or even just a different room. Often this exhaust is simply placed into the ceiling void in the room the unit is cooling. The exhaust is 3 mtrs long and can be extended up to 9 Mtrs if required. We would recommend trying to keep the exhaust hose as short as possible as this will increase the cooling efficiency of the unit. Often the Airrex HSC2500 is used without the exhaust at all, but this would normally only be in large factories or warehouses where the hot air can simply rise up to ceiling height and dissipate.
If you are in any doubt as to whether you will require the exhaust ducting with the unit for your specific use, please call us on 01207 507444 and we will be delighted to talk it through and advise you if it will be necessary.
