Early 17th Century Continental Antique Brass Candlestick, circa 1600
An early 17th-century antique brass candlestick, circa 1600.
European origin.
With a single socket above a baluster-shaped stem, supported on a raised circular base.
Provenance – Unknown.
Condition – Please refer to the images. Some surface wear commensurate with age. There is a single drill hole to the base. It is highly likely that this stick was converted to an electric lamp at some point during its life before reverting back to a candlestick. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
